Time is a luxury STEVE FORBERT doesn't think he has, & THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES' Days Are Numbered. THE NOMADS are Five Minutes Ahead Of My/Their Time.
THE J. GEILS BAND is living On Borrowed Time, the king of the honky-tonks; GARY STEWART borrows The King Of Rock & Roll's One Night, & the always wonderful JEAN SHEPARD assures us that she'll make the time, if you've got the money.
MOON MULLICAN has Seven Nights To Rock, THE GRASSROOTS always get around to rocking Sooner Or Later, while THE SHANGRI-LAS prefer to rock Right Now, & Not Later.
The title of the anthology came from the final track, the theme to the '60s time-traveling sitcom; IT'S ABOUT TIME, but it could just as easily have come from THE PANDORAS' track of the same name.
What are you waiting for? As THE SPECIALS remind us It's Later Than You Think. Don't you think it's about time you downloaded Volume 2?

Some lines in songs are just the ultimate. Shame they are not the opening lines, as you asked for. "A Loaded Gun Won't Set You Free..so you say.." or another "Good things in life are free, can't buy everything - that's true. Only one thing wrong with that; what I don't buy I don't use" These two quotes had much meaning for me. One that did define my youth, with bullying, and how I survived were the opening lines "Asylums with doors open wide, Where people had paid to see inside, For entertainment they watch his body twist Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.' " Not only is/was this the way it was/is in the loony bin, the madhouse, any asylum. It is also one of the ways public bullying works.

Elliott Smith, "Waltz #2" He creates a story you understand immediately in five lines.
One of my favorite Elliott Smith songs also name checks another song:

(one other lyric site had slightly different but I know this from my head so...) and for time the song is always The Prime Movers {Boston, USA} with "Something Called Time".[love this song!!!] Thanks Stinky!
