Started this blog a year ago. The most popular topic (in terms of page views) is America's sweetheart, Pearl Harbour!
The blog has also featured the songs we learned from the impeccable Tav Falco;
The homemade records of Stinky Le Pew (America's other sweetheart);
The singles released by Subterranean Records (and other San Francisco treats);
Guest appearances by Hollie Cook and Iggy Pop on other artists' records;
The guitarists Gareth Sager and Gareth Liddiard (whose band Tropical Fuck Storm has released a new single);
The late and lamented composer Hardy Fox;
plus and also Hypnolovewheel, The C*nts, and a whole lot of white crap about The Fall (whose fearsome leader would have turned 62 yesterday).
My sincere thanks to everyone who has visited, commented, and added a link from your blog to mine. Special shout out to my three followers, who have bravely chosen to ignore the words of Pearl Harbour: Don't follow me, I'm lost too.
Happy Anniversary jonder! and many more years to come.

Thank you, Timebender! I've got some good stuff planned to post in the coming months.
DeleteLet me know if you ever want to share any of your fantastic Twilight Zone comps (or anything else) over here!
Ditto that. Best wishes J in Liverpool
ReplyDeleteSee ya, mate!
DeleteCheeers and Beers Jonder! Just now found all the TAV FALCO stuff with the tye in's to Beale St. and ALEX!!! Can't wait to hear it, cha! 'One is the loneliest number you could ever do' good luck in the future! Great comp.'s and RESEARCH like the old mag.
ReplyDeleteI didn't include an index to old posts in the blog layout, and I recently began to suspect that stuff like "Songs The Panther Burns Taught Us" might go overlooked. Thanks for the flattering comparison to RE/Search, and for your support via the awesome Down Underground blog. I don't know how you have kept up the pace all these years: I average only three posts per month!
DeleteThanks for the offer jonder, sounds good to me. I was thinking of updating some
ReplyDeleteof the artwork eventually, I am only a few months into using windows paint so
a few upgrades could be done on some of the comps. Maybe we could do some of
the re-ups over here when the time comes. I also have some of my own music
I may eventually release, maybe a trial run of demo's over here? Anyways,
just some ideas for now, we'll be in touch.

Keep up the great stuff.
No one I know has the in-depth knowledge of musick that you do.
You are an inspiration and a generous friend. Your in-depth knowledge of musick certainly eclipses mine.
DeleteThe way you research and write your posts at nathannothinsez.blogspot.com is the model for what I try to do here.
Happy Anniversary, Jonder!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you, dear pal! Thank you for your stellar contributions this past year. I hope that you will continue to share homemade records when you have the time: I know you put a lot of work into them.
DeleteKeep it up jonder. Always worth checking in here from time to time, even if only to read the posts'.
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated! I'm glad to know the posts are worth reading, even if the music isn't always to your taste.
DeleteHi jonder Thanks for the Iggy compilations. Great work. Love Iggy and met him at the Royal Albert Hall when he did Post Pop Depression Tour. Wonderful man
ReplyDeleteHey, Jim! Very cool that you got to see Iggy play the Royal Albert Hall, and to meet the man himself. If I ever met Iggy, I would try to convince him to do a version of the Robyn Hitchcock song "America". I can hear it in Iggy's voice (in my head), and I think it would be his biggest hit since "Candy". Enjoy the comps!
