Stinky's Songs Of Lipstick!

Stinky's back with a new mix, this time with two dozen tunes on the theme of lipstick! And he tells me that he has a second volume already ready already!

You probably know the classics -- "Lipstick Traces", "Lipstick Vogue", and Suzi Quatro's indelible "(Someone Else's) Lipstick".

But have you ever locked lips with The Wall Street Diversion's psychedelic tale of "Joey The Lipstick Collector", Pink Military's post-punk "Blood & Lipstick", or Conway Twitty's cheeky admonition, "Hey Little Lucy (Don'tcha Put No Lipstick On)"?

my favorite album cover of 2018
What about Paul Simon slumming as schmaltzy teenybopper Jerry Landis with "I'd Like To Be (The Lipstick On Your Lips)"? Rhymin' Simon later derided his early solo singles as "music for eunuchs". There are some things you can't cover up with lipstick and powder...

As always, Stinky spans the decades from early R&B, rock and country through the 70's and 80's and into the present day as he gathers gems from the genres of rockabilly, glam, classic pop, New Wave and Latin dance music. Connie Francis rubs shoulders with Dressy Bessy, the Buzzcocks and Big Joe Turner! It's a lip-smacking good listen, and it's great to have you back again, Stinky!

I have a couple more sets planned for my San Francisco Punk series, and then we will get back to our irregular programming. I thought readers might enjoy a break from my Bay Area blathering.
