New Jersey Week!

Stinky and I came up with the idea of Stink Week back in December as a joke (like Shark Week), but soon we were trading messages about doing Georgia Week and New Jersey Week in honor of our home states.

Today we welcome you to the first day of New Jersey Week with a collection of songs recorded at various concert venues and radio stations in the Garden State. WFMU is well-represented, but WPRB and WBJB are also included. The oldest tracks date back to the early 1970's (the Beach Boys and Fleetwood Mac), but there are also current performers like Those Darlins and Ty Segall as well.

You'll recognize artists previously featured on these pages, such as Barrence Whitfield & The Savages, Brian Setzer, Lucinda Williams, Wreckless Eric, and The Damned. You will also hear timeless anthems like "You Tore Me Down", "Hallelujah", and "My Pal Foot Foot". There's also a bunch of stuff I've never heard before, which is always a pleasure when Stinky is the selecter.

Whether you're from New Jersey or not, you'll find something to enjoy here today. As our guarantee of satisfaction, everything posted during New Jersey Week is certified Jersey-fied!
