LOOSE! Volume 2!
My LOOSE! series of compilations got it’s start in the days of CASSETTE compilations. My nephew was in his KISS phase, and I pointed out that I understood the appeal—but suggested it was their salacious subject matter that he liked more than the music. I also opined that: “It’s been done better.” That gave birth to a series of cassettes I sent him over several years called: ONE TRACK TAPES.
In coming up with concepts for JOKONKY comps, I thought back to how much fun those collections were, and decided I'd give reviving them a try. For starters, I'd need a catchy new title that would help me drag the series into the realm of CDs & mp3’s. As I post this there are five voluptuous volumes.
These are songs about what the singer wants to do, and who the singer wants to do it to! The one constant on these tracks is that someone is being LOOSE! Contained are loose morals, loose language, and in some cases loose booty!
LOOSE! Volume 2 has tracks by Buck Naked & The Bare Bottom Boys, The Nails, Romeo Void, Annabel Lamb, Al Copley, The Pandoras, & concubine to the stars Bebe Buell singing Little Bit of Whore. It roars into action compliments of Alejandro Escovedo & ends with the second-best pairing of Belushi & Aykroyd.

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to listening to these. I Don’t care if track 4 turns out to be complete bobbins, the title alone is worth the price of admission!
ReplyDeleteI was listening to Frank Sidebottom the other day. He cracked me up when he used the word "bobbins". Thenk yew.
DeleteYowsa! Look at that cover!! (cue Tex Avery wolf howling and thumping with eyes bulging out). With Bebe Buell no less! I'm definitely down with this continuing series!
