Stinky has one more homemade album to top off New Jersey Week. New Jersey's Finest (Volume 1) compiles many of the finest singers, musicians and rappers to hail from the Garden State. You can probably guess some of them. There's the Boss and the Chairman, the Smithereens, Fountains of Wayne, the Feelies, Yo La Tengo, and that gang of misfits from Lodi.A lot of great female singers hail from New Jersey: Sarah Vaughan, the Shirelles, Patti Smith, and Lauryn Hill among them.
Jersey's got the funk, too: Parliament-Funkadelic, Kool & The Gang, and disco diva Gloria Gaynor. Queen Latifah and her fellow Flavor Unit members Naughty By Nature are also represented. We hope you have enjoyed Jersey Week!
