LOOSE! Volume 9 - "OH, BEHAVE!"

LOOSE! Vol. 9 deftly delivers the debauchery you’ve come to expect from the series.

Whether you prefer to Push Push In The Bush, or to get down & dirty on the floor of men’s rooms like Penicillin Penny, there’s something for everybody!  The Dictators and Fringe Benefit happily do it in cars.  The Old 97’s & Jimmy Buffett like to get juiced up before they do the deed.

Flo & Eddie & The Turtles try to be more subtle on I’m Chief Kamanawanalea about which Trouser Press scribe Bill Popp wrote: Things get downright nutty as the band takes on the guise of Hawaiian group Chief Kamanawanalea and the Royal Macadamia Nuts, for the immortal – and punningly immoral – “I’m Chief Kamanawanalea (We’re the Royal Macadamia Nuts.)” Bird calls and the kind of exotica one would be more likely to find on a Martin Denny LP are joined by a faux-tribal beat courtesy of drummer Johny Barbata.

Hanoi Rocks are about as subtle as hair metal bands get on Grin & Bear It, and anyone with a radio knows Bad Company Can't Get Enough.  Mick Jagger details exactly what to look for if you Start Me Up, and Lynyrd Skynyrd asks one favor of you: Gimme Three Steps (Mister).

Joan Jett, Etta James, and Benjamin Orr all take a gentler tack.  Dread Zeppelin deconstruct Whole Lotta Love, and Amazing Rhythm Ace’s vocalist Russell Smith downsizes for his solo version of Third Rate Romance.

Many of the tracks (Ring My Bell, It's All Rite To F*ck All Nite, Hacka Tacka Music) were suggested by our beloved readers—you know who you are!

  1. Most people are familiar with today’s conversation-starting question because of the shocking answer that Bob Eubanks got when he asked it hosting The Newlywed Game.

“What’s the weirdest place you've ever gotten the urge to make whoopie?”

For The Newlywed Game clip, see here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XM5hbS7GlU

    1. There are hardly any weird places to Neuk, only the people around you have been conditioned to find it weird, probably jealous or whatever. In the words of Cole Porter, everybody does it, and let's fall in love just means making whoopie (BIM). When i was at a rockabilly evening in the L'80's I witnessed a few fucks, had to tell myself, they were lucky, and continued my way.
couple of good tunes here https://www.discogs.com/master/12738-Lords-Of-Acid-Voodoo-U

    2. More filth can be found here. (I can make you a clean rib), https://www.discogs.com/release/945293-Pork-Dukes-Making-Bacon-Tight-Pussy
other songs from the same period are not this funny, and the later (post 1977) I never took the time to listen to.
From about the same era, a Dutch lady trio were formed and sang the theme tune from Het Is Weer Zo Laat (It's that time again) or as some might know it Waldo-la-la. Pure obnoxious filth to kick against the hypocrite pricks preaching decency, when, after the curtains are drawn, they are what they condemn. A TV series equal to none. and the tune is called U.O.Me by Luv https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSH6EW_0DQY
By the way, Donna Summer started her fame here, in a tv show prior to this one, Van Oekel's Discohoek. A show famous/infamous for having Captain Beefheart, Donna Summer and live puking in a saddlebag. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usYvcAmlyJs (the main event at 8:30 plus)

    3. An impressive whistling performance of "Yesterday" by Captain Beefheart. The program itself reminds me of Feelyat!

    4. The show was the brainchild of Wim T Schippers. One of Dutch great artists whose range of performances includes the dog based theatre show Going To The Dogs, Hoepla, and other tv-shows with Dolf brouwers (alias Sjef van Oekel), The Peanutbutter Floor, Emptying A Bottle of Soda In The Sea, The Floating-in-air Rock, Numerous radio shows with Jan Vos and Wilhelmina Cuntt (Two Teas, Please) and a tour through the Stedelijk Museum to look at the little mishaps (a crack in the stairs, remnants of 4 plugs in a square, an asymetrical feature in the hall). What Monty Python did in the UK, with sketches, he did in a continuous stream. He also was the first to show a Naked Man, with visible penis, on TV.

And he also is Ernie from Seasme Streat and Kermit the Frog.

  2. I do like a romantic love song. Ice-T's "Let's get buck naked and fornicate" is a good example of this sort of thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MX1leC30b0

    1. Your have exquisite taste, sir. "Girls LGBNAF" isn't my favorite Ice T song but I sure do like the album cover. It's the hip hop version of "Why Don't We Get Drunk And Screw".

  3. Hey you guys, haha, he said...teeheehee...he said, making whoopie...

Brodie: Oh, you mean, like, fucking?

Stinkster, I woud be really disappointed if one of the volumes of this series doesn't carry the subtitle MAKING WHOOPIE!

  4. Excellent collection Stinky, listening to it now!
Another classic which deserves a place here is Ian Dury's Wake Up and Make Love with Me:
I come awake, With the gift for womankind, You're still asleep, the gift don't seem to mind
Rise on this occasion, Halfway up your back, Sliding down your body, Touching your behind, etc.
